He is also a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as both an enlisted member for 7 years and later as a commissioned officer in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps for 8 years.

Alex was also a member of the UTSA Track and Field Team in 1999, before he departed the University and joined the military.
Alex believes in the power of athletics when it comes to molding young athletes into valuable members of our community. He believes that youth athletics played a huge role in his development as a person, and that he would not be where he is today without the values and lessons that he learned through participation in athletics. He has been involved in AAU track clubs for several years as both an athlete and a parent, and his love and passion for athletics, his children, and his community inspired him to create the Alamo City Track Club.
